Regular Tuesday with Irene

Regular Tuesday was altered a bit today. Instead of spending the morning in 5 minute bursts of cleanliness, I spent the morning escorting kids from Otter Beach School to our house for a tour of the farm.

The perspective is interesting. I say Chicken Coop. Falcom says Farm. When the first batch of three kids arrived and said 'Farm' I said, "hobby farm." And so they were pleased. So far all has been well. Buttercup acted like the enormous hog that she is, the hens were delightful and let the kids hold them. They laid eggs. Bun-Bun, the wise, hid for the day. Only one kid climbed into the nest to try to hatch an egg. One more group of three tomorrow. I was done by noon and off to Irene's for coffee.

She tried to drink coffee today, but alas...I wouldn't let her. (Can you imagine, me, not allowing her to break the S.B. code? Times they are a changing).

Topics Covered Today:
-Pennies for Peace Jars that she has collected
-The new labels she made for our honey using the jars she has finished using for her Pennies for Peace campaign
-Things we can't talk about and especially not blog about
-Church Easter projects and how it doesn't look like my kids or I will be there for any of it.
-The trip to Vietnam to pick up Maya
-How I gained a pound last week and that it was no shock because I ate out every night.
-How I went out to eat with my friends from W.W. last night after the meeting.
-How I am going to another party tonight and how I am making enchiladas for it.

Falcom found this woodpecker on the tree outside our house and documented it.
