Marina is a clever girl who likes to have some cash in her pocket. In our neighborhood, setting up a lemon aide stand is not very practical. This morning Suzanne came over for coffee and so, while we sat in the sun drinking coffee and polishing nails, Marina saw an opportunity to set up a store in our living room. What a good day to set up shop, since we were also visited by Valda, Cindy P, and of course our Aunties.
Marina realized that business would be slow for a while and so she wrote a note as to where we could put the money after we bought things. Then she went to Valda's, where she spent a better part of an afternoon picking our Alaskan long stemmed dandelions and made bouquets for Aunt Carolyn and Aunt Lynn.
After dinner, Marina went to the ball field where Irene hired her to watch Maya at the playground while Irene coached Riley's baseball team. She did a good job up until the end when she started chasing boys and Maya walked back down to Priscilla. Because of that Marina did not get a tip. When asked about not getting the tip, she told us that she felt chasing those boys was worth it.
