Our Birthday Present from Yap

This came today from Saipan, carved by our Yapese family. It is just fantastic and says, "Vincent and Alana" and "Yap Stone Money" The carving is of a traditional stone monument called a latte stone. No one knows for sure the purpose of them but they are huge and are a symbol of the Northern Mariana Islands. The Ring on the top of the Latte stone represents Yap, the Land of Stone Money. It is a wonderful gift! I love it! Thank you!
