Family Day Part 2

The tradition continues! We spent another August 31 at the Nikiski Pool playing around together as a family. What a delight! We started with a meal at the hospital; so cheap, so good. Then we headed to Fred Meyers where the guys (V, D, and W) all bought some new pants. Lesson for Alana: The boys from Yap are not familiar enough with capitalistic society to be trusted with an ATM card with free range in a big store full of buyable items. They went to go look for pants and came back with a $30 set of walkie talkies. No, they arn't sure what they are going to do with them. No, they didn't realize we have the exact thing at home already. No, they wern't able to see that they cost as much as a pair of pants (or 2). Ah, Paag-life. What is a mother to do. We did get a lot of use out of them when Falcom went to the toy section while the boys were trying on pants. So I guess it wasn't a total waste.

Then we went to Nikiski Pool. DeeJay wouldn't swim last time we went, this time he jumped right in. Willie had never gone on a slide before and was afraid, but he went (with pressure) and LOVED IT! We spent the day playing together non-stop!

After the pool we went to DeeJay's favorite Chinese buffett. Closed. Then we went to another Chinese buffett. Closed. What is up with resturants in Kenai and Soldotna? We finally found the Nikko Garden. It was good, but not as good as the ones in Homer. But, did that stop us all from totally pigging out? Of course not. The sushi was good, it was all good. It was a super day.
Thank you God! Thank you for this wonderful family.
