Regular Tuesday with Irene was impacted by the season this week. Irene is wondering, "Can seasonal affective disorder affect mood hourly?" We were both highly out of it. I was happy, but my conversation swung from an existential angst to total fluff. Irene was so out of it she could barely follow.
It didn't help that I was over an hour late getting to her place because Vince and I had to spend the morning digging up the potatoes that we were not able to dig over the weekend. The above picture is of the snow that fell onto our potato patch. We had to scrape the snow and then dig in the nearly frozen earth to retrieve our crop. This is a very unpleasurable experience, and I encourage everyone to remember to dig potatoes early rather than wait to long!
Since I can barely remember what Irene and I talked about, I would like to go over a couple other important points I've been neglecting to mention;Suzanne and I are totally jamming at Weight Watchers! With the support and love of all of our super friends we are back into the groove and having a blast! I even wrote this poem for Suzanne after her fantastic loss of weight over the past month;
For all those months
You sat in Contemplation
As I was the one
Well...getting the adoration
You got knocked for a loop
And are having to come so far
But the positive part
Is that tonight, You get a star!
We were all totally laughing... I also want to send a huge hug of happiness and thanks to Lynne, who not only wrote the most warm and loving blog post to S and I, she is just also an awesome new friend.
At that end of the day I caught DeeJay and Willie, out on the tramp, barefooted, loving each other and the snow. They are loving it! Glad someone is...
I'm typing this from my life as a bakery dweller (coffee drinking...two sisters...laptop) and my battery is dying. I'll try for a better catch up tomorrow! Oh, and I figured out my metaphore... I'll tell you more about that tomorrow as well...
